Assistant Manager - (205622 )




The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the restaurant, including the selection, development and performance of all employees. In addition, this role will be responsible for optimizing profits and ensuring that all members are satisfied with their dining experience. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will report directly to the Restaurant Manager.  


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and bar and make on the fly decisions on matters of importance to member service
  • Adhere to all company standards and operating procedures
  • Maintain a high level of customer service while increasing sales and minimize costs
  • Ensure positive experience all areas
  • Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to resolve the complaint
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all staff and members to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
  • Complete accident reports promptly in the event that a member or employee is injured.
  • Manage opening and closing shifts
  • Investigate and resolve complaints, disputes, and refunds
  • Provide direction to employees regarding standard operating procedures and Club expectations
  • Assist the Restaurant Manager with interviewing, hiring, supervising, developing and terminating employees
  • Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback and establishing performance expectations
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of restaurant staffing needs
  • Assist with the preparation of schedules and ensure that the restaurant is properly staffed for all shifts
  • Keeps Restaurant Manager fully informed of all issues (i.e. problems, unusual matters of significance and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary
  • Completes job responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and effective manner and in accordance with ClubCorp policies and procedures
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment
  • Always exemplifies a positive image of Coto De Caza Golf and Racquet Club
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required


  • 4 years’ experience in Food and Beverage, preferably in a higher end environment
  • Knowledge of computers (POS, ADP, MS Office)
  • Proficient in the following areas of restaurant functions: customer satisfaction, sanitation and personnel management
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must agree to background check


  • Self-disciplined, can work with minimal supervision and must have strong leadership abilities
  • Pleasant and polite manner with a neat and clean appearance
  • Ability to motivate employees to work as a team and ensure that food and service meet appropriate standards
  • Must be able to handle simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions as needed
  • Must possess good communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate labor cost while maintaining required standards of operation in daily restaurant activities
  • ServSafe Certified
