Director Golf - (194347 )



Responsiblefor promoting the game of golf and the club while providing the Three Steps ofService to the Members and guests of the club. Responsible for providingquality service, overseeing with the golf shop operations and participating indriving revenue and programming efforts. The benchmarks for success are growth in Member usage andrevenues, reduction in Member attrition, the maintenance of all qualitystandards for service, production, cleanliness, and safety, employee relationsand staff development; all measured by growth in Net Revenues from Operations.



1.  Responsible for efficient and friendlycustomer service throughout the pro shop, directinggolf shop operations by assisting in training staff, motivating staff,conducting weekly staff meetings, developing sales and golf instruction goals,ensuring that policies are followed.

2.   Develop aggressive Golf revenue sales, marketing and net revenueplans and direct successful implementation, following established ClubCorpbudgeting and revenue guidelines.


3.   Direction and supervision of all golf operationsstaff, including recruiting, selecting, performancemanagement and developing a qualified staff of Service Excellence EmployeePartners to understand the relationships between value, Member Satisfaction andMember retention/attrition. 


4.   Direct staff to execute and promote all Tournaments and otherspecial golf events/functions at the Club ensuring coordination of all operations including schedulingevents, overseeing execution of golf events, promoting golf events, wrapping uptournaments, etc.


5.   Provide professional instruction for Member/Guests as requestedaccording to ClubCorp and PGA/LPGA Standards. Develop and promote golfclinics, private lessons, adult, junior and senior programs as directed


6.   Oversee all aspects of outside golf operations and staff toassure proper performance while following all daily procedures and policies(i.e. staging area, range, golf cart storage, etc.) includingmarshal/starters/shop attendants/member services.


7.   Promote the game of golf and promote the Club while maintaininga high level of professionalism and service. 


8.   Developrelationships and satisfy needs of Members by leading and/or serving oncommittees, giving golf lessons, playing golf with Club Members and guests,conduct clinics for men, women and juniors. 


9.   Ensure staff is effectively trained andfollows close of business functions following guidelines and procedures established by the Club.


10.  Provides an Annual Golf Calendar of activities andevents for Members

11. Assist fellow EmployeePartners, Members and guests to ensure delivery of the 3 steps of servicewithout being directed.  Be aware of teammembers and the environment and participate as a member of the team.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years as a Golf Professional
  • College degree preferred
  • PGA/LPGA Profession Certification completion required
  • Proven track record of team management, organizational and coaching skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of expense control as it relates to payroll and the forecasting and budgeting of expenses
  • Experience with tee sheets and inventory systems.
  • Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with Members, Employee Partners and Guests
