Job Description

Essential Functions of the Role: 

• Maintains high-performance and quality standards for all design projects and contributes to the attainment of the overall vision, goals and objectives of the BigShots Brand using design thinking and cost effective methodologies as the basis for growing and enhancing the business.

• Responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering a group of projects from initial due diligence, conceptual stages, through all phases of project development and completion.

• Oversee the review of construction and architectural working drawings with technical and design acumen including BigShots brand elements, site/civil planning, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc., for accuracy and completeness.

• Thorough understanding of scope of work covered by the trade contracts. Has demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering and procurement and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies. Broad knowledge of multi-store industry standards.

• Develop, negotiate, and manage a successful pipeline of outsourced consultants, designers, contractors to deliver on project goals in a nimble and scalable fashion.

• Initiates and directs the planning and development of the project scope, engineering/design, budget and overall project schedule working closely with the BigShots management team.

• Has experience leading projects of large scope and complexity, is recognized as industry leader in the field.

• Ability to manage; take corrective action, monitor work, manage conflict, coordinate the activities of others.

• Ensures development Risks and Issues are being tracked and mitigated/resolved

• Reviews/Approves all major purchase orders, change orders and contracts/sub-contracts.  Prepares and distributes periodic reports to management.

• Reviews and approves all project forecasts; schedules, cost estimates, financial reports and reconciles all commitments that exceed assigned budgets.

Qualifications:

• Required minimum - Bachelor's degree within Construction, Engineering, Architecture, Business or Management

• 10+ years of applied working experience in a related design and construction field

• Preferred – Leadership experience in restaurant, hospitality or retail capital planning, design and project management, with an emphasis in multi-store outlets.
