Member Relations Coordinator

The Member Relations Coordinator builds relationships and is instrumental in driving the membership initiative. They champion the system/process to ensure new Members develop relationships, experience personalized service, cultivate Member recognition, join Clubs within the Club, and participate in a variety of programs and events that enrich their lives. The Member Relations Coordinator also oversees internal and external communications at the Club. They work directly with the General Manager and department heads to ensure timely and appropriate communication regarding the benefits and services promised at the time of enrollment to Members.


  • Effectively administers and leads the new Member on-boarding process; New Member welcomes; Leads and ensures participation in monthly Club Member orientations; Leads and facilitates key Member-driven committees to impact Member welcomes and participation; Designs, plans, implements and executes multiple Member events and programs based on Member interests each month; Facilitates all key Member communication across multiple mediums to ensure that the Club's Membership at Large is effectively aware of day-to-day Club events and programming - Heavy emphasis on social media, email and phone calls. Compiles tri-monthly printed Newsletter  Consistently monitors Member usage statistics, focusing on both heavy users and non-users, to impact maximal Member retention statistics; Assists the Club Manager with 'saving' at-risk (resigning) Members and oversees the administration of any confirmed resigning Members; Oversees Member contact at key anniversary dates: 90 days / 180 days / 1 Year / etc.  Oversees day-to-day updates of the Club's website.

Job Requirements

  • Prefer experience in one or more of the following: marketing, hospitality, sales, relationship management, food & beverage operations, customer service, membership associations and/or fundraising
  • Experience in leading a team or project to a successful outcome is preferred
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Educational concentration in business, communications, journalism, public relations, hospitality management or recreation
