Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will support the Accounting Manager and Director of Accounting Operations with monthly close activities, internal controls, reporting, acquisitions/divestments, and special accounting projects. 


  • Ability to research accounting guidance to ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP. This includes interpreting new guidance to determine accounting treatment to review with the Accounting Manager and Director of Accounting Operations.
  • Play a key role in the month-end and year-end close process.
  • Perform assigned account reconciliations timely and accurately, providing application support to ensure completeness at month-end and the ability to prioritize follow-up review notes.
  • Ability to research and explain month-over-month/year-over-year changes in assigned accounts.
  • Support an effective internal control environment through the performance of controls and assurance of control compliance.
  • Proactive in providing timely support requested by internal audit and external auditors.
  • Participate in user testing of new initiative development and implementation.
  • Assist with special projects and other functions as requested by the manager.

Education/ Credentials

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (or candidate) preferred.
  • Club/Hospitality and multi-unit experience, preferred.
  • Public Accounting experience is a plus.

Minimum Experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Oracle Cloud Financial ERP experience is a plus
  • Proficient in Excel – Intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred, including Pivot Tables and formulas as well as the ability to create SmartView Adhoc reports
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP; ability to research and propose accounting treatment of new agreements/products/business practices and ability to recognize unusual or new transactions requiring accounting treatment decisions.
  • Proficiency and understanding of the various club systems and how they interface with the general ledger and/or affect financial results. 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to identify areas for efficiency and process improvements.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent organizational skills, deadline-oriented, and ability to prioritize/multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with teams, facilitate, and lead a project to completion.


  • Up to $60,000.00 base (commensurate with experience) + benefits
