Job Description


  • Ability to research accounting guidance to ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP. This includes interpreting new guidance to determine accounting treatment to review with the Accounting Manager and Director of Accounting Operations.
  • Assist inventory accounting processes including coordination of controls over Club physical inventories.
  • Assist with prepaid expense accounting processes and related Oracle Multi-Period Accounting
  • Play key role in month-end close process related to specific accounting areas.
  • Perform assigned account reconciliations timely and accurately, providing applicable support to ensure completeness at month-end and the ability to prioritize follow-up review notes.
  • Ability to research and explain month-over-month/year-over-year changes in assigned accounts.
  • Support an effective internal control environment through performance of controls and assurance of control compliance.
  • Proactive in providing timely support requested by internal audit and external auditors.
  • Participate in user testing of new initiative development and implementation.
  • Assist with special projects and other functions as requested by manager.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (or candidate) preferred.
  • Club/Hospitality and multi-unit experience, preferred.
  • Public Accounting experience a plus.
  • Oracle Cloud Financial ERP experience a plus
  • Proficient in Excel – Intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred, including Pivot Tables and formulas as well as ability to create SmartView Adhoc reports
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP; ability to research and propose accounting treatment of new agreements/products/business practices and ability to recognize unusual or new transactions requiring accounting treatment decisions.
  • Proficiency and understanding of the various club systems and how they interface with the general ledger and/or affect financial results. 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to identify areas for efficiency and process improvements.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent organizational skills, deadline oriented, and ability to prioritize/multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with teams, facilitate, and lead a project to completion.
