Senior Analyst Tax - (187617 )

Description

The Senior Tax Analyst willbe primarily responsible for supporting the federal and state tax compliance andprovision function within the tax department. This position will work closely with the tax managers and other seniorexperienced team members to develop and maintain efficient compliance reportingprocesses to ensure timely, accurate, and complete filings. 

GENERAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Preparecomplex consolidated federal and state income tax returns

•    Prepareseparate company federal and state income and franchise tax returns

•    Preparefederal and state partnership tax returns

•    Computequarterly estimated tax payments and prepare extension requests

•    Assistwith the monthly tax account reconciliation process

•    Becomea subject matter expert with the use of and maintenance of the OneSource Taxcompliance software; work with the tax managers to learn the consolidationprocess and the loading of trial balances and tax adjustments

•    Performproblem solving, organization, and complex responses to federal and state auditinformation requests and notices

•    Performtax research projects as needed

•    Monitorcompliance tax procedures and suggest process improvements when necessary.

•    Assistwith the preparation of the quarterly and year-end federal and state income taxprovision process under ASC 740 and FIN 48

•    Prepare book to tax adjustments using taxreporting information provided by other departments

•    Maintainstandardized and well documented work papers to facilitate review and futureaudit support

•    Workwith tax team to manage SOX 404 compliance for tax processes and controls 

 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAND REQUIREMENTS:

•    Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting

•    Master’sdegree in Tax or Accounting preferred

•    CertifiedPublic (CPA) or CPA Candidate

•    5 years of experience in federal and state income tax compliance (industry orpublic)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•    Abilityto function in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks as necessary toquickly address pressing issues and manage a strict tax calendar

•    Experiencewith Oracle/Oracle Cloud a plus

•    Experiencewith ASC 740 and FIN 48

•    Experiencewith OneSource Tax Provision software
