Senior Analyst Tax - (187617 )

Description

The Senior Tax Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting the federal and state tax compliance and provision function within the tax department.  This position will work closely with the tax managers and other senior experienced team members to develop and maintain efficient compliance reporting processes to ensure timely, accurate, and complete filings. 

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Prepare complex consolidated federal and state income tax returns

•    Prepare separate company federal and state income and franchise tax returns

•    Prepare federal and state partnership tax returns

•    Compute quarterly estimated tax payments and prepare extension requests

•    Assist with the monthly tax account reconciliation process

•    Become a subject matter expert with the use of and maintenance of the OneSource Tax compliance software; work with the tax managers to learn the consolidation process and the loading of trial balances and tax adjustments

•    Perform problem solving, organization, and complex responses to federal and state audit information requests and notices

•    Perform tax research projects as needed

•    Monitor compliance tax procedures and suggest process improvements when necessary.

•    Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and year-end federal and state income tax provision process under ASC 740 and FIN 48

•    Prepare book to tax adjustments using tax reporting information provided by other departments

•    Maintain standardized and well documented work papers to facilitate review and future audit support

•    Work with tax team to manage SOX 404 compliance for tax processes and controls 

 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

•    Master’s degree in Tax or Accounting preferred

•    Certified Public (CPA) or CPA Candidate

•    5+ years of experience in federal and state income tax compliance (industry or public)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•    Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks as necessary to quickly address pressing issues and manage a strict tax calendar

•    Experience with Oracle/Oracle Cloud a plus

•    Experience with ASC 740 and FIN 48

•    Experience with OneSource Tax Provision software
