Description

Senior Vice President-Golf Course Management

ClubCorp currently has an opportunity for a Senior Vice President of Golf Course Management to join our team.  This individual will provide agronomic oversight for the Golf and Country Clubs in the portfolio. This role will have responsibility and accountability for the design, implementation and execution of our standards and agronomic programs.    

This individual will lead a team of Sr. Directors of Agronomy (SDA) and partner with them to implement and ensure compliance around standards, regional/corporate agronomic programs, create consistency at the properties, and assist with talent assessment and development.  This person will also partner with the Executive Vice President of Operations and his team of Senior Regional Vice Presidents of Operations (SVP) to promote cooperation among clubs and Superintendents. 


Essential Responsibilities:


•    Provide agronomic oversight for all Golf and Country Clubs


•    Ensure compliance in the area of agronomic safety creating a positive and safe working environment for our agronomy teams


•    Maintain vendor relations for key agronomic areas, including but not limited to Turf Equipment, Golf Cars, Chemical Manufactures and turf distributors


•    Serve as the lead for all golf course construction and remodel projects


•    Be the primary contact for all water or water permitting issues with current or potential operations


•    Responsible for a corporate budget and partnering with the SDA’s and SVP’s to ensure overall company golf course maintenance budget areas are accurately budgeted, forecasted and achieved


Work Experience:


•         Bachelor’s Degree, in related field, preferred


•         Minimum of 5 years with multi-course responsibility


•         Proven leadership and coaching skills


•         Ability to plan and manage at both a strategic and operation level


•         Proven track record in guiding, mentoring and motivating a team


•         Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills
